Ataturk’s Principles and Revolution History

Ataturk’s Principles and Revolution History Department is conducting its education and training studies as a part of Acıbadem University. The Ataturk’s Principles and Revolution History course, which is a mandatory course in the universities, is being administered by this department. Moreover, composing scientific publications, conducting conferences, seminars and panels in order to investigate, convey and introduce Turkey’s modernization history through scientific means are also within this department’s areas of interest.

Ataturk’s Principles and Revolution History is usually studied as the common course of every department in both semesters of the first year. The scope of the course, which acknowledges political, economical and social transformations in Turkey during 19th and 20th century as its focal point, starts by modernization period of Ottoman Empire and extends until today. Another objective of this course, which studies Ataturk’s revolutions and principles within its historical context together with social transformations, is to enable the students to acquire knowledge about resourcing, evaluation, methods and analysis subjects for history researches.
