About the Department
The establishment of the “Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics” at our university will not only enhance Turkey’s knowledge base and international recognition in this field, but will also contribute to addressing the shortage of highly qualified professionals needed in the country’s healthcare sector. The most significant feature distinguishing this department from its counterparts is that, in addition to fundamental scientific research, it places strong emphasis on clinical applications, while enabling its students to benefit from the facilities of Acıbadem University and Acıbadem Healthcare Group. Thanks to its state-of-the-art laboratories and modern physical infrastructure, it provides opportunities for world-leading research in the field of health, spanning the journey from laboratory to clinical practice.
