The Faculty of Health Sciences, which accepted its first students in the academic year of 2009-2010 in conjunction with the other departments of Acıbadem University, has three departments namely “Healthcare Management”, “Nursing” and “Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation”. The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics opened in 2013-2014 bringing the number of departments the faculty offers to four.The first students to graduate from our Faculty, where more than 800 undergraduates are continuing their studies, completed their studies in the 2012-2013 academic year.
Our faculty aims for students to develop professional knowledge and skills which are at international standards. Our dynamic and experienced academic staff that was recruited to support this aim is further strengthened by the basic sciences and clinical sciences teaching staff at the School of Medicine. Vocational lessons in all departments are supported by at least 5 hours of language classes in each mid-term.
In addition to theoretical training at the Ataşehir Kerem Aydınlar Campus, which is equipped with state of the art technology, practical training is provided in modern laboratories while part of the applied training for the Nursing Department takes place in the most well-equipped and modern simulation education center in Turkey. In addition to the academic staff and the technological infrastructure, one of the strongest aspects of our Faculty is that the majority of the practical training for our students takes place under the supervision of our teaching staff and experienced colleagues, in the hospitals and outpatient centers of Acıbadem Healthcare Group, each of which is equipped with state of the art technology.
The fundamental goal of the Acıbadem University Faculty of Health Sciences is to train contemporary healthcare professionals who are competent in their field, sophisticated, and who have a scientific mind. We aim for our graduates to have excellent technological skills, a good command of a foreign language, and who can represent themselves, the institution they work for and our country in the most successful manner on the national and international arena.
