Social sciences and humanities are two closely linked groups of disciplines which generate knowledge on the individual, societal and global levels focusing on the past as well as the present. These disciplines are the best choices for persons who are interested in human behavior or social structures and processes. Students of these disciplines are empowered to develop core competencies such as advanced research and analysis, critical and analytical thinking, socio-cultural literacy, ethical leadership and strategic communication.
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape where artificial intelligence forces particular transformations on all fields of learning and practice, psychologists and sociologists have significant advantages. Artificial intelligence is not endowed with empathy. Nor can it analyze deep human emotions or contextual dynamics of social behavior. Consequently, while artificial intelligence automates routine tasks like data entry, social science and humanities experts will gain more time to develop theories, design research, and deliver impactful solutions to human and societal issues.
Within our Psychology and Sociology departments, students train under distinguished faculty members in accordance with contemporary teaching standards. They acquire the competencies and mindsets necessary for both advanced graduate studies and professional careers. Driven by a strong commitment to interdisciplinarity, our three distinct curricula offer comprehensive exposure to a wide range of social science fields.
