About Computer Engineering
Until a few years ago, Computer Engineering was primarily associated with research and development activities in narrow and highly specialized fields such as computer programming, computer-designed communication and information systems, and the defense industry. However, these conventional paradigms are shifting, and these boundaries are being transcended. Dogmatic barriers between disciplines are rapidly disappearing.
Today, computer engineers collaborate with psychologists, biologists, medical doctors, sociologists, economists, and social scientists to examine and evaluate the impact of the information systems and networks they design on humanity, life, and the environment; they work together in the endeavor to understand humanity's past and in the journey to shape its future.
