SYMPOSIUM OBJECTIVE
The increasing and diversifying diseases, aging population, and challenges faced by health systems are increasing the need for more studies and academics in the field of Health Economics and Finance.
In contrast, there is a significant shortage of faculty members in two fundamental research areas, health economics and finance, worldwide. The lack of interest from graduate students in these areas, difficulties in conducting research and studies, and other reasons contribute to the shortage of specialized faculty members and researchers in health economics and finance in academic institutions.
This situation negatively affects both health education and the development of effective health policies. The symposium aims to bring together experts who want to create a research agenda on these topics and individuals interested in these areas.
WORKSHOPS
In addition to examining the current state of health economics and finance research in detail, the workshops aim to pave the way for new and innovative collaborations in these areas. Through this symposium, it is intended to draw attention to the lack of faculty members in the fields of health economics and finance and the impact of this situation on higher education and health services. This event aims to contribute to the development of research in these areas by promoting a collaborative environment for information exchange and progress.
