The event titled 'Designing Biomaterials for the Treatment of Osteoporosis,' organized by the Biomedical Engineering Department of Acıbadem University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, was held on March 7, 2024, at our university. During the event, Dr. Aysegul Kavas shared insights on her research related to controlled release systems developed for the treatment of osteoporosis and dry eye disease.
The event covered the following topics: the general characteristics, benefits, and release mechanisms of controlled release systems, which are among the application areas of traditional drugs and biomaterials; examples of controlled release systems; and research studies on controlled release systems designed for the treatment of osteoporosis and dry eye disease.
The event, attended by 30 participants, concluded with a Q&A session.
