The EMSA Turkey 2023 National Spring Conference, hosted by our university's ACUMSA (Acıbadem University Medical Students' Association), was held from May 18th to 21st, 2023, with the theme of "Disasters." The conference aimed to inform participants about disasters and raise awareness. During the conference, the selection of the new term's National Pillar Directors and the presentation of the board of directors' reports took place.
As part of the traditional BlueCon Turkey event organized annually by EMSA Turkey, symposiums, sessions, trainings, and workshops were held. The conference featured a symposium titled "Earthquake and Fate" by Assoc. Prof. Emre Dorman from Acıbadem University, a speech on "Post-Disaster Trauma and Psychological First Aid, Post-Earthquake Stress Disorder and Psychological Treatment" by Dr. Hasibe Ebru Kaymaz, a Specialist Physician in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Community Mental Health Project, and a symposium on "Survival and First Aid during Earthquakes" by Assist. Prof. Mustafa Feridun Çelikmen, the Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. The conference, attended by 200 medical students, lasted for four days and was enriched with a scientific program, gala dinner, and boat tour.
