Healthy Living in Nursing: Volleyball Tournament

The "Healthy Living in Nursing Volleyball Tournament," organized by the Social and Scientific Activities Commission of our University's Nursing Department, took place from March 7 to May 13. This event aimed to instill healthy lifestyle behaviors in students and enhance their ongoing interaction with the department. During the tournament, the Head of the Nursing Department, Prof. Ükke Karabacak, and the Chair of the Social and Scientific Activities Commission Assoc. Prof. Bahire Ulus emphasized the importance of health-promoting behaviors acquired during university life. Students engaged in the event by making more effective use of their free time, adopting positive health behaviors, utilizing effective communication methods, and experiencing stress management.

The teams named "Godzilla Volleyza" and "Alfa Volley" from the 1st year Turkish department, "Yıldızlar Birligi" and "Kuzenler Birligi" from the 2nd year Turkish department, "Son Duzluk" from the 4th year Turkish department, "Filenin Hemşireleri" from the 1st year English department, and "Ghost's Attack" from the 2nd year English department were divided into two groups and a fixture was created. Based on the points they earned, the teams qualified for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final matches. The final match was held on May 13 during Nursing Week. In the final match, medals for first, second, and third place were awarded to the students by Prof. Ukke Karabacak, Assoc. Prof. Bahire Ulus, Assist. Prof. Nermin Ocaktan, Lecturer Gozde Gur, Research Assistant Tugba Yorulmaz, Research Assistant Denizhan Yildizbas, Research Assistant Guzin Unlu Suvari, and Research Assistant Nergis Durukan.
