As part of the National Doctors’ Day, our School of Medicine recently held two exhibitions that displayed the talents and contributions of our faculty members and students. The first one displayed a stunning collection of wooden artworks made by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aktekin, Head of the Department of Anatomy, using linden tree wood. The other exhibition, titled "Respect to Pioneering Women Doctors," was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's entry into the Medical Faculty. This exhibition, which was put together by the Medical Faculty and Bioethics Club students under the guidance of our esteemed faculty members, Prof. Yeşim Işıl Ülman and Assoc. Prof. Fatih Artvinli from the Department of Medical History and Ethics. The exhibitions were a great success, and after being displayed at our university, it was also shown at the Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital between 11-14 April for more people to appreciate.
The exhibition of wooden artworks by our faculty member Prof. Dr. Aktekin features 12 different works made from linden tree, while the exhibition titled "Respect to Pioneering Women Doctors" was organized in honor of the 100th anniversary of women's entry into the Medical Faculty and showcased the biographies of fourteen female doctors as a tribute to their dedication to the medical profession.
