Our University Hosted the 100th Anniversary Youth and Inter-University Dance Festival

On May 23, 2024, our university hosted the “100th Anniversary Youth and Inter-University Dance Festival” in celebration of the May 19 Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day. Organized by the ACU Dance Club, the festival featured participation from our students, academic and administrative staff, and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Irfan Guney. Following the highly anticipated interactive performances, the ACU Pop Rock Group, under the ACU Music Club, performed a repertoire prepared with Filiz Ozay, providing unforgettable moments for the students as popular songs were sung together.

After the concert, a dance extravaganza took place with the participation of dance clubs from 18 universities. The dance festival, held in the conference hall, began with a performance by Let’s Dance Minikler. Following this, spectacular dance performances were delivered by dance clubs from Acıbadem University, Altinbas University, Yeditepe University, Marmara University, Turkish-German University, Yıldız Technical University, MEF University, Doğuş University, Istinye University, Ozyegin University, Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Okan University, Beykent University, Istanbul Technical University, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul Medeniyet University, and Let’s Dance Crew.

National athletes Tuana Ozten and Cem Onur, who specialize in dance sports, were specially invited to the event. The performances, which included 400 dancers, received great admiration and applause, with approximately 700 people attending the festival.
