Prof. Dr. Javad Parvizi, a faculty member in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Acıbadem University School of Medicine, delivered a talk titled “The American Dream: Story of an Immigrant” as part of the ACU Research Talks series.
Sharing insights from his own life journey, Prof. Parvizi discussed the paths to success in a foreign country, drawing parallels with other renowned immigrants, including Albert Einstein, and providing examples from around the world. Emphasizing the fundamental role of hard work in achieving success, he highlighted the importance of being open to innovation, knowledgeable, highly skilled in one's field, consistent, determined, passionate, principled, and humble.
Having pursued his education at the University of Sheffield and conducted groundbreaking research at globally renowned institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Prof. Parvizi expressed his happiness in being part of the Acıbadem family. He confidently stated his belief that significant achievements would be accomplished together in this academic environment.
