The "Seminar on Orthotic Assessment in Scoliosis" was successfully held at Acıbadem University in collaboration with the university’s Vocational School of Health Services, Orthotic and Prosthetic Program, and the Can Erdem Orthotics and Prosthetics Biomechanics Center.
The seminar brought together surgeons, physiotherapists, students of the Prosthetics and Orthotics department, faculty members, and industry professionals. Key topics covered during the event included Scoliosis Surgery, Scoliosis Exercises, and the Evaluation of Scoliosis Deformity in Terms of Bracing through Orthopedic Techniques.
Participants had the opportunity to gain insights into the design and production of braces using CAD-CAM programs, learn about the essential standards for brace manufacturing centers, and explore the latest data on center establishment. Additionally, they were able to experience and enhance their practical skills with advanced technological devices, such as 3D scanners.
