The "Simulation Applications in Nursing Education II" symposium was hosted by the Acıbadem University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, and convened at the university campus from January 10th to 12th, 2023. This symposium was convened with the objective of enhancing the proficiency in scenario composition and facilitating the enactment of "simulation-based learning experiences," an active pedagogical method that aligns with the "International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) standards of best practice." The initiative aims to cultivate nursing professionals equipped with the requisite competencies for delivering safe patient care. The workshop attracted the participation of twenty-nine individuals from five distinct provinces. The inaugural day of the workshop focused on imparting knowledge consistent with the principles and theoretical underpinnings of simulation-based education within the nursing discipline. The subsequent day was dedicated to enlightening participants about the intricacies of developing scenario writing abilities, guided by the standards for simulation education in nursing and involving preliminary information, scenario construction, and analytical processes as per the CASE model.
On the final day, attendees were segmented into groups to undertake the comprehensive tasks of drafting, organizing, executing, and critiquing their own scenarios.
