On May 25, 2024, Acibadem University's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Robotic Rehabilitation Unit of Acibadem Taksim Hospital, hosted a workshop titled "Robotic Rehabilitation in Neurological Diseases." The event aimed to inform graduating students and interested professionals about the latest technologies and robotic devices used in the rehabilitation of neurological diseases and to provide hands-on experience through practical applications. The workshop featured speakers including Prof. Cihan Aksoy from Istanbul University’s Istanbul Medical Faculty, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Corum from Acibadem Taksim Hospital, Dr. Elif Esma Safran from Acıbadem University's Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and Physiotherapist Mina Golubic. The event was divided into two sessions. The first session included oral presentations on topics such as the Mechanisms of Action and Patient Selection in Robotic Rehabilitation for Neurological Diseases, Case Studies in Robotic Rehabilitation for Neurological Diseases, Evidence for Robotic Rehabilitation in Neurorehabilitation: What Does the Literature Say?, and the Continuum of Rehabilitation. The second session featured workshops on the clinical use of robotic rehabilitation systems for balance, walking, and mobility in neurological diseases, as well as the clinical use of robotic rehabilitation systems for upper extremity functions and fine motor skills in neurological diseases.
