Reception
The reception desk at the student residences operates 24/7, providing assistance to both students and visitors. Reception staff monitor student and visitor entry and exit, receive incoming mail and deliveries, and notify students accordingly. They also coordinate students' check-in and check-out procedures at the beginning and end of the academic year.
Breakfast
Breakfast is provided free of charge seven days a week for students residing in the student residences. It is served on weekdays between 08:00 and 10:30 at the Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University cafeteria.
Hobby Kitchen
The student residences feature a hobby kitchen equipped with built-in cooktops, a toaster, ovens/microwave ovens, and extractor hoods, allowing students to prepare simple meals. Students may use the hobby kitchen at any time. All cooking utensils, equipment, and ingredients must be provided by the students themselves. Students are responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organized during and after use. Kitchen equipment and utensils may not be taken to the apartments.
Internet and TV
Wireless internet access is available throughout all residence buildings. The internet service provided in the residences is intended primarily for online educational purposes and should not be used for online gaming or downloading music and movies. Televisions are available in all apartments, the laundry waiting area, the game room, and the common lounge.
Security
The student residences are equipped with an electronic access control system using key cards and fingerprint recognition. The buildings are monitored and recorded 24/7 by closed-circuit security cameras. In addition, all buildings are equipped with a fire alarm system featuring heat and smoke detectors.
Housekeeping
Room cleaning in the student residences is carried out by the housekeeping staff according to the schedule determined by the Residence Management.
Laundry Room
The laundry room is available 24/7 for all students residing in the student residences. Each student is entitled to four free laundry washes per month; additional washes are subject to a fee. Students are responsible for any personal belongings left behind or forgotten in the laundry room. Laundry that remains unclaimed for seven days will be treated as waste. Laundry detergent must be supplied by the student. Shoes, bags, carpets, and similar items must not be washed in the washing machines. Any damage caused by washing such items will be charged to the student.
Technical Services
The Technical Services team performs preventive maintenance on the building infrastructure and provides repair and maintenance services for any technical issues that may arise. Students may submit maintenance requests for damages in their apartments or rooms through the residence management system. All residence buildings are supported by backup generators that provide power to all common areas.
Heating, Air Conditioning, and Hot Water
Hot water is available 24 hours a day without interruption in the student residences. During the winter season, heating is provided through a central heating system. Air conditioning units are installed in both the common areas and student rooms for cooling during the summer. Throughout the winter months, all indoor areas of the residences are maintained at 22°C (±2°C).
Luggage Storage Room
A luggage storage room is available for students who wish to store seasonal personal belongings, suitcases, or boxes that they do not wish to keep in their rooms. Only closed, locked, and properly labeled suitcases or boxes may be stored. Students receive luggage claim tags upon delivery. Access to the storage room is permitted only when accompanied by a member of the security staff and a representative of the Residence Management. Students are solely responsible for the contents of their luggage. Residence Management accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage.
Students who have renewed their residence registration for the following academic year may store up to six (6) items per person (suitcases or boxes) in the luggage storage room during the summer period. Students who will not be residing in the residences the following academic year may use the storage service for a fee upon request. Items left or forgotten in the apartments or the luggage storage room will be kept for a maximum of 15 (fifteen) days. If students who are not returning leave belongings without prior notice, the items will be shipped to their registered address on a cash-on-delivery basis. Unclaimed or unidentified items remaining at the end of the storage period will be treated as waste. Residence Management cannot be held responsible for items disposed of in this manner.
