DOUBLE MAJOR PROGRAM
The Double Major Program allows the student enrolled in an undergraduate program at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University to take courses from a second undergraduate program simultaneously and receive two separate diplomas, provided that they meet the success requirements and other conditions.

Application Dates
Application dates for the Double Major Program are included in the academic calendar and the Registrar's Office informs about the dates and quotas in the announcement area in the relevant period.
Application Terms
Students applying for double major education;
1) who are enrolled to a major undergraduate diploma program, can apply at the beginning of third semester earliest. Latest application dates are beginning of fifth semester in four-year programs, seventh semester in five-year programs, ninth semester in the six-year programs. Students who are enrolled to a major associate degree program can apply at the beginning of second semester earliest and at the beginning of the third semester latest. Students can apply to the Registrar's Office within the periods stipulated in the academic calendar.
2) The total number of students to be admitted to the DMP is determined by the Senate, provided that it is not less than 20% of the quota of the relevant program.
3) The student applying for double major education;
a. should have successfully completed all the courses in the major program until the semester they applied for,
b. must score a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.80 and being in the top 20% in terms of the success ranking made according to the grade point average of the students in their own semester in the main major program,
c. Students who have a GPA of at least 2.80 but cannot make it to the top 20% in the major program according to the success ranking made according to the GPA of the students in their own semester can apply if the double major program has a score not less than the base score of the relevant year. These students are evaluated in case there is a quota after the applications of the students who are in the top 20% are listed.
d. Students enrolled in a Turkish-medium diploma program must meet the English proficiency requirement applicable to new student admission to the relevant program in order to apply for the English-medium double major program.
e. Foreign students whose native language is not Turkish must meet the Turkish proficiency requirement, which is valid for admission of new students to these undergraduate diploma programs, in order to be able to apply to the double major programs opened within the scope of the diploma programs in which the language of instruction is Turkish.
f. For the second major programs that admit students with an aptitude test, they must also be successful in the aptitude test.
g. The student who wants to do a double major in the programs for which the success ranking condition is required must have met the success ranking condition determined by the Higher Education Council of the relevant program in the year (s)he is registered.
4) The admission of students who meet the conditions is decided by the administrative board of the unit to which the second major program is affiliated.

MINOR PROGRAM
The Minor Program enables the student enrolled in an undergraduate program at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University to receive a minor certificate, which does not replace a diploma, by taking a limited number of courses in order to gain knowledge on a specific subject within the scope of a second undergraduate program within the same university, provided that the success conditions and other conditions are met.

Application Dates
University minor application dates are included in the academic calendar, and the Registrar's Office informs about the dates and quotas in the announcement area in the relevant period.
Application Terms
In order for the student to apply for the Minor Program;
1) A student can apply to the minor program earliest at the beginning of the third semester and at the beginning of the sixth semester latest.
2) the cumulative grade point average at the time of application must be at least 2.50 and (s)he must have completed all the courses related to the major program with at least a passing grade until the semester (s)he applies.
3) Students who enroll in the undergraduate diploma program of ACU through horizontal transfer or vertical transfer between institutions are required to study at least one semester in the program they are enrolled in, in order to apply for the minor programs.
4) Students enrolled in a Turkish-medium undergraduate diploma program must meet the English proficiency requirement applicable to new student admission to the relevant program in order to apply for the English-medium minor program.
5) Foreign students whose native language is not Turkish must meet the Turkish proficiency requirement, which is valid for admission of new students to these undergraduate diploma programs, in order to be able to apply to minor programs opened within the scope of Turkish-medium diploma programs.
6) In order for the student to be accepted to the minor programs opened within the scope of the undergraduate diploma programs that admit students with the aptitude test, it is imperative that the student also be successful in the aptitude test.
7) The student must meet the application and admission requirements in addition to the ones stated in this directive with the proposal of the faculty administrative board and the senate decision.
8) Applications for minor programs are made to the Registrar's Office, within the periods stipulated in the academic calendar. The applications of the students who meet the conditions are evaluated and decided by the faculty administrative board where the minor program is carried out. Students who are accepted to minor programs apply to the Registrar's Office between the announced dates and register for the minor program they were accepted to.
9) Students can study at the same time in a second major diploma program and a minor program or in more than one minor program.
10) A student who leaves a minor program cannot enroll in the same minor program again.
