PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING INFORMATION NOTICE
a) Data Controller and Its Representative
Pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law No. 6698”), your personal data may be processed by Kerem Aydınlar Foundation (“KAV”) as the data controller, within the scope explained below.
b) Purposes for Which Personal Data Will Be Processed
Your personal data collected may be processed for the purposes of ensuring that you benefit from the services offered by KAV; evaluating and finalizing applications of students who apply for scholarships; carrying out scholarship-related activities; increasing awareness and visibility of ongoing projects; customizing the services offered by KAV in line with individuals’ needs and presenting or promoting them to the relevant persons; planning and executing the necessary activities for classifying individuals based on their characteristics, education, and talents; and analyzing such data in line with the objectives set forth in KAV’s charter, including processing by third parties providing services for these purposes.
Your personal data may be processed within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified under Articles 5 and 6 of Law No. 6698. If the reasons requiring the storage of your personal data cease to exist and/or if there is no legal basis to retain them for a longer period, such data will be deleted or anonymized.
c) Persons to Whom Personal Data May Be Transferred and the Purposes of Such Transfer
Your personal data collected may be shared —for the purposes stated above— with our suppliers, business partners, Acıbadem Healthcare Group companies, public institutions and organizations, and third-party service providers.
d) Method and Legal Basis of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data are processed through various channels, both physically and electronically, primarily within the scope of the activities carried out by KAV, for the purposes specified in this information notice and for fulfilling our related legal obligations.
e) Security of Your Personal Data
KAV takes all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security to prevent the unlawful processing of your data, unauthorized access to your data, and to ensure their protection.
f) Your Rights Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698
You have the right to request information from KAV regarding whether your personal data are processed, and if processed, to request information in this regard; to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used in accordance with such purpose; to learn the third parties to whom the data are transferred domestically or abroad; to request the correction of the data if they are incomplete or inaccurate; to request the deletion or destruction of personal data within the scope of the applicable legislation; to request that such correction/deletion/destruction be notified to third parties to whom the data have been transferred; to object to a result arising against you as a consequence of analysis of your personal data exclusively through automated systems; and to request compensation if you suffer damages due to unlawful processing of your personal data.
