Changes in healthcare services, globalization, and advances in science and technology necessitate the education of qualified nurses who can develop policies at the international level and provide care based on scientific foundations, as well as the training of faculty members who will educate these nurses.
The aim of the PhD Program in Nursing is to equip students with the ability to conduct independent scientific research; develop evidence-based practices in nursing; interpret findings; solve problems; and make ethical decisions in line with professional values. The program also encourages students to base nursing care on nursing-specific models, theories, principles, and methods, and to apply the knowledge they acquire in this context. Through the Nursing PhD Programs, both nursing faculty members will be trained and contributions will be made to professional and academic development through national and international publications. It is anticipated that the scientific studies conducted within the program will contribute to the protection of public health, the enhancement of awareness in patient care, and the establishment of strong bridges in international relations.
The Nursing PhD Program includes specialization areas planned in line with the student’s interests, such as Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Nursing Management.
