Our esteemed faculty member from the School of Medicine, Associate Professor Akif Enes Arikan, has been awarded the European Diploma in Endocrine Surgery and the title of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in the specialty of Endocrine Surgery

Associate Professor Dr. Akif Enes Arikan, from our university's Department of General Surgery, successfully completed the EBSQ Examination in Endocrine Surgery organized by the UEMS Division of General Surgery, Endocrine Surgery Unit in Rome, thus earning the European Diploma in Endocrine Surgery and the title of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS) in the specialty of Endocrine Surgery.

Last year, Dr. Arikan also successfully completed the EBSQ Examination in Breast Surgery organized by the UEMS Division of General Surgery, Breast Surgery Unit in Madrid, earning the European Diploma in Breast Surgery and the title of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS) in the specialty of Breast Surgery. This achievement makes him one of the very few academicians to hold European Board certifications in both Endocrine Surgery and Breast Surgery.
