On March 20, 2024, the third colloquium organized by the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of our university took place, commemorating the centennial of our Republic. The event featured a presentation titled "Considering Health During the Establishment of the Republic: First Assembly Debates 1920-1923" by Dr. Ceren Gulser Ilikan Rasimoglu, a faculty member of the Sociology Department.
The presentation was attended by 70 students and faculty members. The event focused on discussions related to health that occurred in the First Assembly during the Independence War period (1921-1923). The relationships of these discussions to the health policies in the early years of the republic, as well as their causes and consequences, were examined. The interactive event concluded with a Q&A session.
