The 'Let's Wake Up and Protect the Green' event was organized on December 5, 2023, by the Faculty of Health Sciences' Nursing Department at Acıbadem University in collaboration with the Environmental Organizations Solidarity Association (ÇEKUD). The initiative aimed to enhance the awareness of university students about preserving greenery and afforestation. A booth was set up under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Bahire Ulus, Lecturer Dr. Azize Karahan, and Lecturer Gözde Gür, with the participation of our fourth-year Nursing students Ebru Işık, Aleyna Korkmaz, Edanur Avlamaz, Asude Kaplan, Çağla Pınar Bayhan, Fatma Zehra Gönüllü, and İbrahim Günay. At the booth, participants engaged in the 'TURKEY IS BEING REFORESTED-Without You, There is No One' campaign by creating seed balls, aiming to replenish nature with as many trees as each individual consumes annually. Research Assistant and ÇEKUD volunteer Usame Yolcu presented on 'Raising Environmental Awareness and Protecting the Greenery' to increase the university students' awareness of a clean environment. The event concluded after a question-and-answer session.
