As part of a social responsibility project, the students of our university's Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department organized an event called "Paralympic Basketball Discussions," which took place on June 23, 2023, through the Zoom platform. Ramazan Oksuz, a player from the Pendik WT Basketball Team, was the honored guest of the event The purpose of the event was to help the students of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation department better understand the needs of wheelchair basketball players. During the event, Athlete Ramazan Oksuz shared insights with the students about the needs of wheelchair basketball players. The students also learned about the accidents and common injuries that athletes experience.
The event highlighted how the interaction between wheelchair-using athletes and physiotherapists is beneficial in terms of injury prevention, performance enhancement, and team success.
